the beauty of motion blur: color final

this is some of the work i did for my photo final this quarter: the beauty of motion blur

what was initially important to me with this project was showing movement, strong and mild, in different situations. i didnt simply want it to be motion blur, but wanted to show how beautiful it can be when captured. this project is now finished, as far as the course goes. in my opinion, it feels unfinished, and i plan to do more work with this subject. additions to come...

color associations

this project concerns how certain colors can convey certain associations, feelings or emotions. for example, red can be associated with happiness, friendliness, or warmth. at the same time, it can be provocative, sexy or dangerous. the subject matter will read different ways to the viewer, so its all about perception.

travel work: italia 2008

i went to italy in summer of 2008 for two weeks, and stayed in rome, florence and venice, though i saw much more. i was blown away by the architecture and museums, and still feel like i only saw a very small fraction. i have all of these images on my flickr account, and recently one of my photos from italy was published in a city guide for florence, italy.
